Valentino is located inside loop 1604 on Blanco road. It is hidden inside on a corner of the shopping center at Blanco and Walkers way.

It's a small place that is very cozy. I've been to the restaurant before for an anniversary so it can be romantic.

This dinner was for Father's Day so I brought my two daughters.

We ordered the fresh Caprese and my daughters who have never had it before rated it a 3 star and 4 star respectively. My wife and I loved it and have it a full 5 star.

Of course the kids loved the bread but have not acquired the taste for olive oil & balsamic. They tried the olive oil alone and still just enjoyed the bread by itself.

I ordered the Pork filet in the lemon sauce with capers. I enjoyed it and thought the flavor was great even with the capers. My wife doesn't like the capers so she wasn't so hip on my plate.

My wife ordered the Paccheri Rosati ( creamy tomato sauce with Penne ) and she loved it . She only finished about half since she said it was rich. ( to-go box needed)

Our kids tried our plates and we also ordered some creamy Linguini Parmesan for them to share.

We ordered some glasses of wine. The Primativo was my choice and the house Cabernet was hers. We also sampled the Nero d Avola but passed.

The overall experience was great! Our waiter was very helpful and the food was great. Our bill with tip was around $100 out the door. It's well worth the experience .

We had a nice dinner here. The location is kind of strange as the restaurant was the only business open on Sunday. The restaurant is small, but very nice with white tablecloths and a pleasant atmosphere. They serve wine and beer, but no liquor (no cocktails).

We started with a Caprese salad with a fancy name. They don't make their own mozzarella so the dish was underwhelming. The tomato did not have much flavor and needed salt.

My dining companion ordered pork medallions. The dish was different than we expected--as in no medallions, but more like pork cutlets topped with mushrooms. I'm generally suspicious when meat is covered by sauce and toppings. The pork was good, but not great.

I ordered the gnocchi dish because the waiter said it was made in house. The gnocchi had a nice texture. The sauce was very heavy and I ended up not eating my whole dish as a result. With a lighter cream sauce the gnocchi would've been better.

We finished the meal with gelato covered in a chocolate shell. It was tasty. The waiter said it was from Italy.

Overall the restaurant is ok. For the price, I really expected food that was elevated and special. I also expected more based on the 5 star reviews. I doubt we'll give this place another try.

The restaurant was very clean (including restroom).  Rather small. Had priscuitto and melon appetizers, which was very good . The bread and oil were very good. Wine was good. Meals were served warm and were excellent. I had gnocchi, which was good. A bit pricey, but would go back.

Went for a romantic date night and this place was perfect! Excellent service and in a small, cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious! We felt like we were treated so special and will definitely return!

I've been twice and loved it both times.  Small, intimate, family owned - tasty, small menu!
